When he isn’t producing under the alias Signature D, Destin Beaumont perfects his French horn playing technique under the expertise of Robert Rearden, who plays in the National Symphony orchestra. He began his horn career with the Trinidad and Tobago Youth Philharmonic (TTYP) and progressed to the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Trinidad and Tobago, and sub positions within The Villages Philharmonic Orchestra, The Vero Beach Opera, and The Brevard Symphony Orchestra, and the Disney Candelight Orchestra, all based in Florida.He has performed in Trinidad, Tobago, Belize, and the United States. He also offered lessons to incoming horn students during his time at the TTYP and is open to giving lessons to young students who share the same musical desire. 

His passion for horn playing blossomed under the instruction of Professor Kathy Thomas at Stetson University where he was the recipient of the Rutan-Smith award which is a monetary fund for brass players to assist the cost of purchasing an instrument. He also participated in the debut of the art exhibition, “Harmonitrees” under the guidance of Dr. Charles Underriner and composer Sky Macklay, An American composer who has been recognized by The American Academy of Arts and Letters, Civitella Ranieri, and ASCAP, and has been featured at international festivals such as Gaudeamus Muziekweek, The BBC Scottish Symphony’s Tectonics Festival, and the ISCM World New Music Days.
